Product Information
Description
Ductile cast iron pipe DN 100 of the VRS®-T system with Portland composite cement lining, zinc coating and PUR-Longlife coating. The VRS®-T system is a ductile centrifugal cast iron pipe with a socket and spigot connection with weld bead and locking elements, providing a highly loadable, flexible and tensile force-locking connection with up to 5° angular deflection. No welding or weld inspection on site is necessary. Pipes are 5 m long with nominal diameters from DN 80 to DN 600.
Application
Mainly used for drinking water supply, fire-fighting lines, snowmaking systems and turbine lines. Installation methods include conventional trench installation, trenchless installation, bridge pipelines, interim pipelines, and float-in installation.

Manufacturing & Lifecycle
Packaging
Pipes are closed with caps and provided with wooden spacers and PET bands for transport. All packaging materials can be thermally recycled.
Use Phase
No relevant material or energy flows during use phase under proper planning and installation.
End of Life
Pipes are almost completely removed in urban areas and recycled. Recycling rate assumed at 97%, 3% landfilled. Dismantling and recycling processes included in LCA.
