Description
Ductile cast iron pipe system VRS®-T with nominal diameter DN 250, longitudinal force-locking connection, Portland composite cement lining, zinc coating and PUR-Longlife coating.
Application
Mainly used for drinking water supply, fire-fighting lines, snowmaking systems and turbine lines. Installation methods include conventional trench installation, trenchless installation, bridge pipelines, interim pipelines, and float-in installation.

Manufacturing Process
Centrifugal casting of ductile cast iron using cupola furnace with steel scrap and recycled material, magnesium treatment for ductility, zinc coating by arc spray, cement mortar lining by rotational centrifugal process, and final PUR coating.
Packaging
Pipes are closed with caps and packed with wooden spacers and PET bands for transport. All packaging materials are thermally recyclable.
Use Phase
No relevant material or energy flows during use phase under proper planning and installation.
End of Life
Pipes are almost fully removed in urban areas and recycled. Recycling rate assumed 97%, 3% landfilled. Dismantling and transport included.
