Where the contractor is only responsible for designing specific elements and/or components of the building project (i.e. not the entire building project), contractor-designed work is to be described and identified separately.
The percentage additions for testing and commissioning are to be applied to the total cost of the items comprising the sub-element. A single combined percentage addition can be applied to cover the costs of both testing and commissioning.

Distribution of telecommunication, cable television and other communication systems, including wiring to main distribution point within building, cables, excavating and backfilling trenches, etc.

Testing and commissioning.
Where works are to be carried out by a subcontractor, the subcontractor’s preliminaries, design fees, risk allowance, overheads and profit, with allowance for these to be made within unit rate applied to element or component.
