Where components are to be enumerated, the number of components is to be stated.
Column casings: The linear length measured is the distance between the top of the slab/bed, pile cap or ground beam (as appropriate) and the soffit of the beam attached to the next floor level (or to soffit of suspended slab if no beams).
Beam casings: The linear length is measured on the centre line of the beam.
No deduction is made for volume of steel.
